This metal detector I purchased is a direct result of watching "The Curse of Oak Island". I did find a cool old shell casing which led me down a fascinating internet rabbit hole where I discovered a whole world of people who collect shell casings, who knew? I do now. I think it would make a unique gift for people too.

Well worth the money

First time metal detecting. I did my research and talked to friends whom have been detecting for awhile, this detector came recommended. Have to say I couldn't be happier. I can absolutely say this combo is well worth the money. My best find was a 1890 Indian head in great shape, I found it within the first couple hours.

perfect for beginners

This is my first metal detector and after about an hour of hunting, I can say that I am very pleased. This is a nice detector for someone just starting out. Not much in the way of treasures discovered but still a lot of fun finding different metals and interesting objects like an old toy gun. Really looking forward to exploring new areas. Took it with me to the beach to pass some time. Ended up finding a cannonball of all things about 35cm under the sand. So it works! Honestly still don't fully understand what the second dial does. But it worked well and I'm happy with the purchase!
